I don't see why Pinnock should have been a surprise, wasn't he in the finals of champs 100m last year, just off the podium, running phenomenal times all season? So, I expected him to be there, and he was, it's not nuclear science, just the statistics.

@sophiaroberts6863 I get your point but each year speaks for it self. Just because an athlete performs well one year doesnt mean he will automatically perform better the next. We know how ungrateful the sport is especially from the perspective of a former athlete myself. Statistics mean nothing in athletics!

A few athletes always injure themself at carifita trials every year then have to sit out champs sad.. same thing again this year but not as much injuries as last year........such is the sport

​@@Nauhs41coach stated in an interview after Western Champs he is only focusing on the Under 20 Jrs this year. So while he may still run at champs they are leaning more towards the World U20 competition than Champs from what they said

@@unconventionalcrosy52 i did see it and while it was disappointing I understand where the coach is coming from. Yes being a national champion has grandeur but Daley really has the potential for greater than that. If come champs he gets beaten it will just be another motivation for his later development. I'm not saying he is 100 leading into champs but the coach knows what he's doing so whatever happens come champs will be interesting

Sound travel faster than light and further delayed in broadcasting equipment so please don’t go there as you weren’t at the track and the equipment there is world class. Furthermore, it’s actually thunder and lightening as the clashing of ions produces the light, But we then to say lightening and thunder because to see the lightning first and then hear the thunder. Hence the power of lip reading as most people who wear eyewear tend to do. Science is real!!

@@jessiix4435he did you see watching a broadcasting which will delay the sound especially the technology in the sound equipment used. They have world class equipment at these championships as WR are now expected at any athletic event in the World to ensure ratification on time and performance as blood work a must after any WR!! Light travels faster than sound!! Thunder produces lightning but we see the light before the sound. No False Start Try Again!!
