Jamaica's prime minister has told the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge that his country intends to fulfil its destiny as an "independent" nation.
The Queen is still the head of state for the island, but there have been calls for her to be removed.
William and Kate's arrival was met with some protests, but there were plenty of cheers too, as Royal Editor Chris Ship reports from Jamaica.
