Cool video! I was just reading about this line in Railfan Magazine. This passenger service no longer operates.
@spotter3sixty9 жыл бұрын
+Jaw Tooth - Yes, the revived service did not last very long. I am glad that I got the chance to do this video before it was shut down again. It is awesome that Railfan Magazine chose to showcase what is left of Jamaica's railway network in their Oct 2015 issue!

Jamaicansol Thats awesome that you saw the article also. After I read it, I wanted to see if there were any videos of it and I found yours and a few other ones. There are only a couple videos with the passenger train that you rode. That was cool

Great to see Jamaica has rails again. I'm sure Britain would be happy to provide advice and expertise to construct a route from Kingston to Montego Bay. Hopefully in a few years the railways will look and feel brand new
@marcopalo90195 жыл бұрын
Why should Jamaicans need advice from Britain? Please get rid of that old colonial way of thinking. Jamaicans are quite capable of advanced engineering, especially in railroads. No offence intended, however.

@lacconstructions13 жыл бұрын
why people have to keep on standing at door of the train? it's not a bus.
@spotter3sixty13 жыл бұрын
The train runs along very hilly terrain so at different parts of the journey the train slows to prevent derailment. Plus this train is donkey-years old. It doesn't have the modern tilt mechanism that allows train to zoom around corners.

To bring back the the Railway service in Jamaica it's going to take over $ 1.8 billion usd ? And passenger service alone can't run a rail system in Jamaica you have to carry cargo.
