I noticed, that whenever there is something "offensive" the only people get offended are western middle class whites. I am from eastern Europe and I would find something like this funmy about my country. This is so funny and I am happy to see Jamaicans enjoying this. We are silly and funny in different ways and I think it is beaitiful. Respect to Jamaicans for having a sense of humour! :)

Beke Daniel I think it’s mainly white guilt over colonial history, now that British history is not so well suppressed some earnest types think they need to show recompense by ‘saving’ all blacks of the world, but as they don’t know any who aren’t sensitive university students offended by statues, they just get offended at everything on British media that’s not as earnest as they are and hope when the black revolution comes nobody spears them. Meantime I imagine actual black folks here and around the world are just getting on with life and laughter regardless of being saved from BBC comedy shows.

Craig Charles; love this guy, great actor, comedian and DJ. His radio show gets Saturdays properly started. Chiwetel Ejiofor; unsurpassable actor of great talent, (also has an impressive voice). Also a writer and director. Lenny Henry; very talented comedian, we don’t see enough of him these days.

I'm not being funny, but real Jamacians push these stereotypes themselves onto the mass media and social media. Twerking, 'daggering', patwa/broken english, dancehall culture etc etc. Comedy is born out of some reality. Stop being so sensitive its banter. Also Caribbean British cast (ie Felix Dexter / Robbie Gee etc) used to mock African British people all over "Real Mccoy" Skits in the 1990s. Not that serious LOL
@celiasmith86624 жыл бұрын
Those are not the majority nor representative of the majority. Do not start with this divisiveness. American rappers reinforce stereotypes that give all black people a bad name. Every black artist should be responsible for their craft. I don't t have a problem with all of the sketch, but the big dick, weed smoking and locks is white mainstream imagery of Jamaicans that these West Africans aided in reinforcing. The compromise black ppl make to bow to massa BBC is a shame.
