I think it’s really crazy how rl esports is at an all time low. Players can’t make a living out of it anymore and on top of that, like you said, orgs can’t get good/enough sponsorships. Epic games needs to clean all this up

while it doesn't make "moral" sense, if you will, it 100% makes financial sense. Customers are coming to Epic to get that player anthem. Epic has to attract sponsors to endorse the game. They cannot be seen openly endorsing items that have harmful effects on children, but they can allow children to indulge in less-savory music. It's all about money.

@ oh for sure, 100% accurate, the problem with the legal system is that mental degredation for young kids isnt properly accounted for. This is part of the large scale problem with the ESRB system because games rated M have to censor too much, and games rated E can have exposure to almost anything as long as its "censored". Also i love snoop dogg as much as the next guy in his 20s but drop it like its hot also should not have been permitted even censored, equally as problematic imo

Coco they don't support energy drinks because caffeine is a controlled substance technically considered a drug. Ice spice, although vulgar, has radio hits, and art isn't held to the same standards and consumable ingestible products.

Caffeine is not in fact a controlled substance. Is caffeine healthy for kids to consume? No. Is the things Ice Spice sings about healthy for kids to be consuming? Also likely not. While I understand that the long term effects of exposure to overly sexual themes cant be measured like the effects of caffeine can, I still believe its extremely hypocritical of them to tout their E rating as a reason why they cant have energy drink sponsors, then ignore the adult themes of the music they put in the game. Maybe im just a boomer but I dont see why we dont have both of them or neither of them.
