Thank you for the video, the link, the firing schedule and the information. You've just helped me out tremendously for i've been making glass clocks, then attaching wooden frames. With your technique, i won't have to worry about frames !!! Thank you.

Jamaison, THAT is super cool! What a wonderful idea and beautifully executed. Thank you for sharing, I love it!

Excellent video Jamaison. I actually made my own mold like that out of a piece of stainless steel that I bought from my local sheet metal shop. Using kiln furniture because the glass was too small was brilliant. Thanks for your creativity and inspiration.

What gauge sheet metal, and how did you bend it?
@dlarson985010 ай бұрын
@@maureenr798 it was probably 20 gauge. I used a vise to bend it. Good luck.

Question on the reuse of the paper…. If you had used Bullseye Thinfire paper would it have turned to dust and been un(re)usable? Does the papyrus paper only work twice if you fire it below a full fuse temp? Thanks!
@JamaisonSchuler2 жыл бұрын
That’s always been my experience with thinfire. I’ve heard some say they’ve gotten multiple firings from thinfire, but I’m skeptical. Papyros will often stick to my opalescent glass after one firing. But on transparent glass projects, i can confidently get at least two full fuse firings. I can sometimes get 3-4 firings from Papyros if I’m careful! You just have to be super careful on subsequent firings when laying down your glass piece not to let it fall to the paper. Otherwise the rush of air will “foof” up a bunch of Papyros dust which can land on the face of your project and cause devitrification.
