When ever I was traveling through NYC I knew I was always welcome in Jamalski's camp. I would often stop to see what was being cooked up or find out the next move BDP would be making in the city. If you like it raw this video is for you, unrehearsed MC session.
In 1991, Jamalski appeared along side of KRS-One, as a member of Boogie Down Productions, on the album "Edutainment", on a track called "7 DJs" featuring KRS-One, Miss Melody, D-Nice, Harmony and others. He then went on to record and perform on "BDP: Live Worldwide Hardcore album" for Jive Records. Within a year, Jamalski had released his first solo single titled "Jump, Spread Out (Let's Do it in the Dancehall)" produced by Bobby Konders. This project sold almost 200,000 copies, and rocketed Jamalski to the front of the crossover reggae/hip-hop audiences in New York.
By 1993, Jamalski was signed to a record deal with Columbia/Sony Music, and released "Roughneck Reality", a full-length album, as well as a handful of singles and a video or two. By mid-1994, Jamalski was becoming a household name with his video playing in rotation on MTV. Over the next year, Jamalski appeared on quite a few different albums, covering many and varied styles. He voiced a song for the Brand New Heavies on their album "Heavy Rhyme Experience" for Delicious Vinyl, and also appeared on two tracks of Dee-Lite's second album "Infinity Within", for Electra Records. He also voiced tracks for the house act Wildchild, and performed on a few jungle tunes as well.
Jamalski has performed all over the world, and still to this day travels throughout the globe DJing and MCing across the US, Europe, and Japan. He has recently released two singles on Jazz Child Records titled "Ganga Plane" and "No Murderin'", about the death of Biggie Smalls. Jamalski also appears on two tracks on the PSM compilation "Time's Up" and on the B-side of the first single from that release "True Freedom Fighters" with Rocker-T. He is also featured on "Mi Selecta" with the track, "Rinse Out."
Over the past year, Jamalski has been terrorizing the international rave circuit. He has been crowned the number one stateside Jungle MC, seen performing with Aphrodite, Jumpin Jack Frost, Dylan and Facs, Dieselboy, DJ Dara, Rinse and Flux, Phantom 45, Danny the Wildchild and even MCing to house and breaks alongside DJ Dan, Donald Claude, and Fatboy Slim. The lyrical, mystical, magical, metaphysical, roughneck Jamalski is a guaranteed master of vibing up the crowd.
