I remember screaming for Jorma to play this song at a concert in a small venue. He told me if I Promised to stop screaming he would and he did. It was awesome.

I remember back in 76 at The Capitol Theater in Passaic NJ,yelling for them to play Genesis! The two guys in front of me turned around and looked at me like I had two heads ( till this day I don’t know why). Jorma then said “I’d like to do a thing called Genesis “! They turned back around wide eyes opened and I just smiled 😊and enjoyed my favorite song at the time 😎!

The time has come for us to pause And think of living as it was Into the future we must cross, must cross And I'd like to go with you And I'd like to go with you You say I'm harder than a wall A marble shaft about to fall I love you dearer than them all, them all And I'd like to go with you And I'd like to go with you And as we walked into the day Sky's of blue have turned to gray I might have not been clear to say To say Lord I've never look away And I've never look away And though I'm feeling you inside My life is rolling with the tide And I'd like to see it be an open ride Going along with you Yeah, going along with you The time we'd borrowed from ourselves Can't stay within a vaulted well When breathing turned into a lender's well I'd like to stay with you And I'd like to stay with you And when we came out into view And there I found myself with you When breathing felt like something new, 'thing new Going along with you And I going along with you Source: Musixmatch Songwriters: Jorma Kaukonen

I first saw Papa John Creach around 1965 when I was 15, as my family took the passenger ferry to Avalon on Santa Catalina Island. At that time he was part of the musical entertainment on board. "Genesis" is my own favorite Jorma composition.
