In this video we visit an essential and well-known place Jameos Del Agua de César Manrique in Lanzarote in the Canary Islands in Spain.
Jameos del Agua is the place on the planet where man and nature have decided to kiss.
It was César Manrique who was able to imagine and transform what was a collapse of the top of a volcanic cone through which lava flowed from the Corona volcano (video on our channel link below), north of the island, in a unique space in the world.
It was his privileged spirit and his hands full of life that shaped the rustic and black basalt to give shape to a place where harmony, beauty, calm and peace reign.
White, blue, green and black, the colors that Manrique has offered to his island, intertwine throughout a unique journey of extraordinary beauty, which leads to dreaming and imagining.
Blind crabs (Munidopsis Polimorpha), a species endemic to the island, continually cradled by the ebb and flow of the tides, the turquoise pool and the tunnel of Atlantis, which endlessly penetrates the blue of the Atlantic , brings the visitor to enjoy a personal experience that he will not soon forget.
Unusual Jameos del Agua is an exciting journey through vulcanism, geology and the perfect symbiosis between art and nature in the emblematic volcanic tube transformed by César Manrique.
Jameos del Agua is the first center of Art, Culture and Tourism created by César Manrique, and for many it is the paradigm of his aesthetic ideal: harmony between nature and artistic creation.
