First of all thank you for your ministry. Its been more than a blessing but a life changer Pastor Cucuzza. I agree with most of your translation with James but I have to disagree with verse 2:14-17. In verse 14 "Can faith save him?" Who? Your brother/sister physically from death. If you say be fed and don't give him food and nourishment what will that profit your brother/sister physically? Verse 14 has to continue to verse 15. Now I can be wrong but I think that fits better with that paragraph . Anyway God bless . Thank you.

I am wondering, the apostle Paul tells the Corinthian church that some were dead and some were sick because they weren't coming together for the right reasons or with a right heart toward one another. Is this literal? Will God take a believer's life because he is being useless? And, even allow an attack of poor health because someone is not useless but has a wrong attitude? Or, was he speaking figuratively? I also wonder if he meant that people were dead or sick (whether figuratively or literally) because the church wasn't taking care of the needs of the weak (either weak in faith or weak in health.)

This verse is what a wolf will use to control you are make you doubt your salvation. Dont be decieved. The pastor here is explaining the truth. If you can not here it then you follow your own self rightousness and do not understand and probably dont know Him or the gospel.
