James took over the crown of ad-lib when Sean Lock passed. His wit and speed is pure genius! Am I the only one shocked that he's 40 next month? I always thought he was 25😂😂😂 Lovely bloke, funny and humble.

loved Sean Lock, will be forever missed on '8 out of 10 cats' James is fab, like an excited puppy and for some mad reason i just want to lick his face thought he was very young too, but maybe been around for some time now, not aged as he, but by the sounds of his eating habbits in NY will suddenly blow up like a balloon

In terms of panel show put-downs, I think Lee Mack has taken over the role. But James definitely shares a sense of observational absurdism with Sean.

I live in Canada and even I said "It's our own James Acaster!" when I saw him in Ghostbusters.

Nice to hear a grown-up child of Chris tell stories of how he listened after school. Radio isn't dead. Will we get the same stories from the current R1 children?

I very much doubt it, they don't have the attention span 😂

Given James’ history with cabbages, I wonder how his cats would react to Brussel sprouts.

That toilet paper in the loo to deaden the sound is called a 'Fireman's blanket'.

love the interviews - but no offence to your sound person.. the EQ is horrible and nasal as F on all these vids of late??
@sunseeker9581Ай бұрын
Surprising, he's not a team captain on any panel shows.

If James likes banter with people in the studio, he should look up a little known radio dj by the name of err...Howard Stern.

PS Love Acaster. And before the haters pile on, I know Moyles has acknnowledged his big an influence Stern was on him.

Feels like Acaster has been on tv for enough years now that he would have dropped the whole ‘Rodney Trotter’ gag. His real voice and persona is enough to carry his comedy through, surely?

I’d put James in my top 3 stand ups……..with Lee and Kitson! Acaster-The baby faced funster! (Sorry!😂)
