It's unnerving that JAMA published a study, "Cost-effectiveness of Nivolumab-Ipilimumab Combination Therapy...Non-small Cell Lung Cancer". It said combo therapy is not cost effective compared to chemo for quality of life years in dollar terms. I wish more doctors were like scientists, and that health insurance companies were more in the health business than insurance business.

Not all melanoma is like cutaneous melanoma. Mucosal melanomas are really cold tumors.

Where was this information last year when my sister died of cervical cancer? Why are cancer centers not using this treatment? 15 years she suffered with chemo and this treatment actually works! Shameful.

All these new treatments fall under an umbrella term called cancer immunotherapy it's a whole new field of cancer treatment, it's only been around since 2015 so there are plenty of doctors who essentially are ignorant.

we are at the mercy of available trials currently. Many disallow low responder cancer types from current trials. Drug companies want big wins. I am so sorry for your loss.
