His last album was definitely abit disappointing tbh. He has an AMAZING voice and used so many effects on it. He also decided to use artificial shit drum beats when he’s definitely at his best in rock songs. This is all in my opinion and if he’s happy doing that it’s cool. I agree. As always, James' voice is simply breathtaking. But respectfully, I feel the over-produced accompaniment overwhelms the vocals here, sadly making it far too difficult to hear James' exquisite voice, which SHOULD be the focal point. I actually struggled to really hear James,, making the accompanying background "music" sound like noise to MY ear. Of course, to each his own. But I prefer James' "unplugged" music. Frankly, IMHO, James could record a capella music, with NO accompaniment. Or maybe JUST his acoustic guitar. To ME, THAT James Arthur music is absolute . . . perfection.💗
