The reason why we all adore his music so much is because you can FEEL the authenticity. I doubt that there's one human being on this planet that hasn't experienced something he sings about. We feel his pain, because every one of us has felt pain. We feel his enthusiasm, because every one of us has felt the feeling of falling in love, or doing something we love. We can relate to him because (for the longest time), we've not truly felt emotion from music. And he gives that to us. He's a TRUE artist.

@MrPieroog9011 жыл бұрын
@didikris226311 жыл бұрын

This song might even change my life for the better as I am about to have another go at 'recovery' after a relapse from drug and alcohol abuse. And being a musician myself, one of artistic and self proclaimed "I have insight into life itself", as we all do under the influence of drugs and alcohol....weather that be true or not...it is what we see in the 'straight mind' that truly defines us. It can be bloody hard, I'll tell you that...but when achieved, tis a joy to sit on that mountain of "Recovery".

Paige Music those words can be very triggering for an alcoholic. They are not cured as well as can never be cured from alcoholism. Many relapses happen because they think now that they can “control it” because they have so far. They think they are cured when in reality, they cannot be. They have a gene that will never go away. So saying those words may trigger them to believe they are cured :/

It’s not an easy road to walk. As a person in long term recovery, I didn’t follow traditional paths. And I literally designed it from different parts of current options. I’m ok with it, life changes, our recovery changes and what we need to do to continue to be strong changes. Recovery is ever changing as we evolve over time. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Keep moving forward. You’re worth it😊♥️

But when life starts crashing all around me and problems and stress build up then I fight hard against wanting to end my life. It sucks.

@@okandnowlol9947 I'm so sorry for the late reply. James Arthur is a fighter, he has fought through his anxiety and mental health every single day and it is really hard, when you don't meet a person's standards, but he did. He hasn't had an easy life, where his parents got divorced, he has had it tough. He has struggled with depression and I feel for him, because I know how it feels to be living with that. It ain't easy and I'm so glad he made it out! He fought and fought and he made it out! I respect him so much, because he has been in the same situation as me and just by listening to his song's from time to time. It makes me a stronger women every single day. He has fought through mental health and I'm really happy for him to have got the recovery he needed. As you listen to his song's it says "I've broken down walls". This means that he has broken all bits of pieces that were hurting him in his soul, body and mind. I know I'm not alone in this, it is really hard and I'm just glad he got the help he needed:) He is a true warrior, god bless him!! I'm so happy he shared his journey with us!

I think it's simply about being able to separate the artist from the person. He's a homophobic prick, but he's an incredibly talented singer and songwriter. I can criticise his attitude and respect his work at the same time.
@protarget110 жыл бұрын
Nina R Listen Oh! clueless one. Lucy Spraggan, who's comments started all the hassle, after James made that comment to rapper Micky Worthless. in a rap. Came out publicly and defended James saying, no way is James homophobic. But felt his comments were out of place in todays society. Which is quite correct. Also during X-factor shows, James roomed with Ryland Clark for 10 weeks, and BTW, became best mates. Ryland also came out publicly, and also defended James, stating, James is not homophobic, he's just a silly boy doing what he did.
@ninar704010 жыл бұрын
I guess I thought I knew more about this than I actually do. That *is* silly, but not unusual, and much less serious than I thought. At this point, the thing that saddens me the most is the fact that I was surprised not to find any insults in the comment of someone who disagrees with me. Cheers.

I sung this song two days after I returned from the mental hospital, in my school( my school was small about 90 or 88 kids went there) on the second, I held nothing back, I sung full power and cried. I sang and sang shaking and crying the full song There's only two doors and two flights of 10 steps that separate me from downstairs. Everyone knew me at school, but only four people knew why I wasnt at school for two weeks, but everyone came upstairs and saw me and started to hug me and others cried. This song has helped me, believe it or not, and more of your songs. I love you James and I thank you for sharing your life with us through your beautiful music.

LYRICS I don't want to play this game no more I don't wanna play it I don't want to stay 'round here no more I don't wanna stay here Like rain on a Monday morning Like pain that just keeps on going on Look at all the hate they keep on showing I don't want to see that Look at all the stones they keep on throwing I don't want to feel that Like sun that will keep on burning I used to be so discerning, oh In my recovery I'm a soldier at war I have broken down walls I defined I designed My recovery In the sound of the sea In the oceans of me I defined I designed My recovery Keep soaring Keep song-writing Keep soaring Keep song-writing My recovery, my recovery Keep soaring Keep song-writing Keep soaring Keep song-writing My recovery And I can hear the choirs keep on singing Tell me what they're saying And I can hear the phone It keeps on ringing I don't want to answer I know that I used to listen And I know I've become dismissive In my recovery I'm a soldier at war I have broken down walls I defined I designed My recovery In the sound of the sea In the oceans of me I defined I designed My recovery Keep soaring Keep song-writing Keep soaring Keep song-writing My recovery, my recovery Keep soaring Keep song-writing Keep soaring Keep song-writing My recovery In my recovery I'm a soldier at war I have broken down walls I defined I designed My recovery In the sound of the sea In the oceans of me I defined I designed My recovery Keep soaring Keep song-writing Keep soaring Keep song-writing My recovery, my recovery Keep soaring Keep song-writing Keep soaring Keep song-writing My recovery Keep soaring Keep song-writing

The world is lucky to have a performer like James Arthur!
People hate on him just because he speaks the truth. Pathetic.
