To me this song has more than one meaning to me. I'm a combat vet that has PTSD and has lost my marriage of 12 years over it as well as suffering from multiple mental disorders like depression and anxiety. A lot of run ins with the law and failed relationships. My life has been torn apart. Bridges have been burned and that's ok. To me this reflexes on all that but it also tells me you need to pick up life where you can, and start a new. There are struggles in life that no matter how hard you try it might not work so just let it go. You can only be you and others are going to be others. So just let it go!

Such a healing song. I just lost my mother (first time that a can write this without crying by heart out) and her and i, wasn't an easy relationship. But just before she left this place, we were getting to a very good place. That was cut short she suffert from a rare form of cancer multiple myeloma and leukemia. she fought like a tiger and got two grafts from her own cells. She got the news of her total remission just four days before, she lost the use of a leg and the left eye...The cancer cells left came back with a revenge, they attack the neurones and the meninges. She passed away in the night oh 8 may 2018. Alone, like she wanted to do but, it leave my with a great deal of guilt...Anyway's, I need to learn to let go. Such a well written song. Thank you, if anybody reads. I love you all !

This song kept me string when my engagement was going down the drain a year ago. Upto now i still get goosebumps when i hear it. I hate the memories though. Im happier on my own now. So thats a win.
