The day my grandma passed away I went on a car ride with my cousin. I had my USB on random. I had over 5000 songs on it from the limewire days so I barely even knew half of them. This song started playing. It was the first time I ever listened to it. We noticed the lyrics and started bawling our eyes out. She was diagnosed with MS. She knew better than anyone what was happening to her and never complained, not once. She left her Iraq to become a doctor and then moved to another country to have a family. She finally lost that battle last year after 10 years of trying to be brave for everyone while we watched her fade away piece by piece. To the strongest woman I've ever met. This song reminds of my mother she died when she was 56, she started getting asthama attacks and we admitted her in hospital, her heart rate became very weak and within a week she passed away leaving me completely shattered into pieces she was the only one who understood me, without me saying a word to her.. now many years have passed but not a single day has gone where I have not thought of her ❤️. To all those who have mothers still, please be very thankful to her and love you mums ❤️ each day, because mothers are rare

When my Mother died I wasn't there to watch her breathing for the last time, but I helped carry her home. I had to give a speech at her funeral and then we took the coffin into the graveyard and saw her safely to her final resting place. As much as her death made me cry, I couldn't cry that day, and this song helped give me strength.

I totally understand how you’re feeling. Bawled my eyes and heart out to this song when I lost my beloved Maltese of 14 years back in 2018.. he was my best friend since young. The loss is beyond comprehension. They were always so feisty and lively you almost thought they were gonna live forever.. I couldn’t accept his death back then and kept on ploughing through the internet for answers as to where do our fur babies go after death. They can’t simply disappear just like that. Take heart and trust that the energy and love from them will never be lost, just simply converted into another form beyond this physical realm. Both of you will be reunited one day. This is the first time I ever hear this song and I'm crying my eyes out. It reminds me of all my loved ones and how lucky I am to still have all of them in my life. This summer, my brother was in a bad car accident and it was really scary. If there weren't any eye witnesses or people who helped him right-away, he could have died. When this happened, I realized that in just one second, you could lose everything.. I am so happy that he is alive and I would really like to meet the people who helped him before the ambulance arrived. Thanks to them, he is still alive. Reminds me of my late cat Sweep, she lived to 23 years old and when I was born she was around 8 ish, lost her last august, august 29th never went to see her be put down, i knew i couldnt stomach it, my mum told me about it though, when they injected her, she took a final breath then her head just slumped, like she was falling asleep, one last time, then my mum brought her home and we buried her in the garden, alongside a blanket she had always loved, and her food. It's deeper than that. James Blunt was a British soldier who presumably had friends in the Army. One here passed away, among other horrors he may have seen.
