It actually appears in 9 Bond films (including No Time To Die) and funnily enough 7 of the 9 appearances it has had in Bond have been in 7 of the last 9 films in the last 25 years. The other two were in the 60s, 1964 and 1965.

The gearbox was designed for racing and actually doesn't have any synchros. It's a really good transmission so that's probably why it didn't have any upgrades.
