He is loaded with potential. I like his shooting potential a lot. He has some cleaning up to do to his form, mainly making sure his base is consistent (releasing on the way up and maybe jumping a little more forward and having his feet land more parallel). He gets a great quick dip and hip alignment, which helps him shoot from all different angles. His athleticism is ELITE, and he is crafty as hell around the basket. Obviously he will have to get stronger, but I think a team should take him in the top 10 easily. He will need a good coaching staff to help him develop and hone in his shot selection, but he would be the PERFECT 6th man with the potential to be a secondary scorer on a good team. He’s one of the most exciting prospects in the class.

@@ashton_9340 So.... Teams ALWAYS need more ball handlers and elite athletes. Bouknighht could be a perfect 6th man, or he could play the 2. He has a lot of room to grow defensively, and he has to get stronger, but the Raptors would be the perfect team to help him grow on defense. There’s a such thing as too many bigs, especially non shooting bigs, but teams should ALWAYS try to draft and develop as many wings/combos with shooting potential as possible. You can never have too many.

Why do so many mock drafts have him going late first round? He is lookin very very underrated. The Ringer's Kevin O Conner has Bouknight ranked 21st in his big board. Negatives include: 1) Playmaking instincts: He forces some passes that aren’t there and misses some open opportunities. And he too often kills his dribble. 2) Streaky spot-up shooter whose issues could be due to his mechanics. Has a relatively stiff shot out of stationary positions. 3) Inconsistent on-ball defender. Can Any UConn fans who watch the games regularly give the real insight on this?
