Yes I was there around 1973 at The Hardrock on Stretford Road,Old Trafford, Manchester. Nothing to do with The Hardrock Cafes James wore a green cat suit. In them days I used to buy a James Brown 45 every week for 50p each and I still have all of them . Happy Days

Man this was a great show! The band was tight as a ball and glove!! I saw Mr. Brown twice during 1973 and one of them was at the legendary apollo !!!!! This show was similar and the funk was alive and well that night!! This show is the bomb but I wish they had recorded it as is!!!

Yeah man he did about 14 splits that night at the Apollo! When he played the Apollo his shows were never the same! He changed every show every single performance! I wish I had tickets to the midnight show because it's always longer!! I was 17 years at that time and I was happy as can be! I will never forget it!!
