Some instructions would be helpful as I have not found them on the web, yet. First: Center the document so that there is the same distance between the first hole and the edge as it is between the last hole and it nearest edge. A trick is told a page, place it against the stop on the left and rotate the knob that moves the stop until the edge is aligned with a hole. Second: Punch the pages carefully pushing against the stop so that all of them are punched the same way. Make sure each batch (maybe up to ten) are facing the same way as the rest, face up, or face down. This is because no matter how carefully you centered the pages in the first step, there will be a slight difference if you punch the pages face down vs face up. Just be consistent. Both face down or face up are fine, but the holes will be slightly off if you mix that up. Third: Choose the right comb. The notches in the back help you determine that. Press the pages together, but don't squeeze, and place it in different notched and use a comb that fits best. Forth: Put the back cover, or the last page on top. This will hide the back fo the comb. Not a big issue, but makes the comb look clean and the edge doesn't catch onto things as someone moves the booketl Fifth: Set the depth of the Chanel that squeezed the comb to the right value. I use a slightly tighter setting but you can experiment with that. Sixth: Put the comb with pages in it such that the comb sits at the bottom of the trough, flat. Squeeze the lever slowly but firmly until it stops. Move the back page/back cover over to the back and you have a pro looking binding.
