I went looking for old stuff of James and find this gem. If Gorillaz and James did a collab, it is something I don't think the world would ever be ready for.

CORRECT LYRICS: So long, our lives entwined like a helix Don't know where I begin, where you end How long do we go on trying to Phoenix? I just know, I just know, that this can't grow I wrote this song to tell you I'm leaving Afraid to say these words to your face Must be better than a letter, a text or an email My ride stops here at the end of the line We stopped time when we signed in the year of our Lord, 1999 With a kiss, spitting out, spitting out timelines From the moment we locked eyes at the station our hours got synchronized Two reduced to one life, forever provokes, waits like a landmine I wrote this song to tell you I'm leaving Afraid to say these words to your face Must be better than a letter, a text or an email My ride stops here at the end of the line Every kiss has lost its flavor I'm not proud of my behavior Beached on rock, thought that it was land Lost respect and love departed What was fresh, we took for granted Need desire more than just a friend I wrote this song to say that I'm leaving Afraid to say these words to your face Must be better than a letter, a text or an email My ride stops here at the end of this line

Everything about this is amazing. The visuals, the music, the lyrics. It baffles me that if I search for "James" this video rarely turns up. Even if I'm listening to a James playlist more often than not I have to search for this directly. And it shows in the low number of views/likes/comments. Such a shame that this masterpiece is so overlooked 😔

from Russia with love So long, I lie here entwined like a helix Don’t know where I begin, where you end How long do we go on trying to feed it I just know, I just know, that this can’t grow I wrote this song to tell you I’m leaving Afraid to say these words to your face Must be better than a letter a text or an email My ride stops here at the end of the line. We stopped time, when we signed in the year, of our Lord, 1999 With a kiss spitting out, spitting out, time lines From the moment we locked eyes at the station our hours got synchronized Two reduced to one life, forever proposed, wicked like a land mine? I wrote this song to tell you I’m leaving Afraid to say these words to your face Must be better than a letter a text or an email My ride stops here at the end of the line. Every kiss has lost its flavor I’m not proud of my behavior Beached on rock, thought that it was land Lost respect, love departed what was fresh, we took for granted need to rely on more than just a friend I wrote this song to say that I’m leaving Afraid to say these words to your face Must be better than a letter a text or an email My ride stops here at the end of this line.

@RandJohnson8 жыл бұрын
This band isn't from this generation. They formed in 1982 (34 years ago, as of my writing) and released their first album in 1986. This isn't even the best song they've released. check out their classics 'Born of Frustration', 'Sit Down', and 'Laid', the phenomenal tracks 'Just Like Fred Astaire', 'Say Something'', and 'Fine'; then the lost weirdo and quiet classics 'Chunny Pops', 'Hello', 'What Is It Good For?', and 'Vervaceous'. There you go... Ten indispensable tracks! ;)
