Actor James Franco plays twin brothers in the new HBO series “The Deuce,” set in New York City’s Times Square in the 1970s. He tells TODAY that he watched old Martin Scorsese movies like “Taxi Driver” to familiarize himself with the seediness of that era: “New York was a completely different place,” he tells TODAY.
