Franklin is saying what he has to say. In reality, he’d rather be 11-1 with a first round home playoff game. As opposed to the probability of getting physically beat up in a title game and then going on the road as a 12 seed in the first round of the playoffs.

If we get matched up against Indiana for a home playoff game that's gunna be lame. We want SMU/ASU

If they lose the B1G title game they would be the 5th seed, not the 12th..... also still in play to get the 1 seed, and if we are going to face Georgia, then I'd rather do it with a month off to prepare and with them after playing a tough game.

Im wondering if you guys think college football teams are ready to play a 15 or 16 game season the last few games against pretty good football teams.

The number of injuries in the Minnesota game was not a ringing endorsement of longer seasons. Even young men's bodies break down with all the pounding.

The only teams physically able to win NC will have a 1st round bye.

@teekay_1 I think the injuries in the Minnesota game were more due to that crappy turf rather than a long season. There were multiple injuries on both sides that looked like classic "turf injuries", the announcer even mentioned that. College players should demand natural grass surfaces at all venues. There is already a coalition of pro athletes pushing for natural grass on every field.

Remember several yrs ago the CFP Committee said they were not thinking about expanding the CFP because that would take the Players out of Class Lmmfao 🤡😅🤣😂

1. Unless you have a first round bye, you will not win NC. 2.JF would rather win a home game than have a 1st round bye. 3. the fake punt that worked will give him about 10 months off the hot seat.

Heres an unbiased take Allar is a very average qb with a big arm he never uses Offensive line is pretty bad No perimeter threats When the do get open Allar doesnt see them or throw to them Defense clearly doesnt understand their assignments half the time Very undisciplined play (missing gaps, failing to pass off receivers, switch covers, penalties, poor tackling)

Good thing we didn’t play Oregon, or we would be 10 -2 again. Easy schedule.

What was so easy about 9 conference games? On the road to USC, Wisconsin at night, Minnesota after they had a bye and West Virginia week 1! Bowling Geeen is a MAC school, but there is a chance they win their conference. Sure we didn't have Michigan, but we gained Washington, both teams made the title game last year.... even if it is a down year for both of them. So tell me how it was that easy of schedule, cause I look around and PSU didn't lose any of its games against 6-6 teams.... unlike other teams. How does the schedule being easy/hard effect how you play against 6-6 teams?

My analysis of the fake punt decision is different. Franklin's decision to go for a fake punt wasn't "bold" (as some have called it), it was the only possible way to win the game. Consider this: 1) PSU was only up by 1 point, so any score by Minnesota would end in a loss for Penn State 2) There was only 4:29 left in the game, so it was highly likely that PSU would never see the ball again, barring a turnover. 3) PSU was struggling stopping Minnesota and they would only need to get to the PSU 35 to win (their kicker was pretty good) 4) So if PSU punted, the likelihood of PSU winning would've been less than 20% 5) If PSU faked the punt and it succeeded, the likelihood of PSU winning was closer to 60-70%. If it failed the likelihood of PSU winning would remain at less than 20% Thus the only rational choice for Franklin was a fake kick. _Even the announcers said "they're at least lined up for a punt...."_ The only mystery is why PJ Fleck didn't understand this as well.

exactly my point. But it will go down as a defining credibility for JF.
