Spent the last few months, watching Sopranos again in its entirety for my 3rd time and boy did it feel different now watching it for the first time after he passed away. Still one of the greatest actors to have ever lived. Really wish I would’ve had the chance to have met him.

My husband was a Chief Engineer on a merchant ship.His rout was from Northern California to China. (with stops in between ).He worked 70 days on and 70 days off. I don't know how he did it, but he would come home with bootleg copies of our favorite TV show The Soprano's. So in the early 2000's when the show was the hottest thing as far as entertainment we were so fortunate to see episodes months & months before anyone else. Did you know The Soprano's is actually listed as a comedy? I'm a huge fan, and being from Nutley, NJ watching the opening credits I've been to all those sites, bridges , towns, and places as the music starts, I STILL get excited and once a year I binge watch the entire show (always seeing something new I hadn't noticed before. I don't think you can truly enjoy this show, unless you've been to NJ and or lived there.

I was wondering when you were going to post! Yay! Westwood, NJ! Proud he was born in Jersey. He had a small role in a True Romance, I think. The Sopranos is one of the greatest series imo. You're right. He seemed like a very kind soul. RIP James

😆 🤣 Love what you did at the end. Fade to black. I thought my TV 📺 broke. Not that the cable was out. That the TV 📺 just stopped working 😂 I did enjoy the Sopranos. By all accounts James was a really nice man. So sad he died so young. 😢

Clever ending Steve. I did like him but I never got into the Sopranos. I've never seen younger pictures of him, he was extremely good looking. Looks like his son inherited his looks. Another one taken too soon. Ironic that he died in Italy.

Explain how it was sad. He lived comfortably as a high-paid person doing professional pretending. He had a family, he had friends. Then his own unhealthy life habits caught up with him and his life ended. I'm genuinely asking where the sadness is to be found here. I personally know people who have experienced pretty much the worst possible. Hearing them tell about it made me cry. James Gandolfini's life would be something they would instantly change theirs with.

Learn to separate the actor from the role.
@johndoh547919 күн бұрын
Um, you should’ve watched the entire series. He is shot and killed in the final episode. I’d call that paying the price. But even before that, throughout the series he suffered physical and mental health issues, a highly dysfunctional and combative home life, and endured the loss of those he held most dear….and oh yeah, two murder attempts on his life, one orchestrated my his own mother. It was kinda the point of the whole show….nobody gets away without paying the price.
