I know. It's sad. Paulie was my favorite character. Tony was just so damn good playing him. I hope they do a similar documentary for him as well. His real life story is actually amazing. I watched the interview with him from 1989, and I can't believe how mean he seemed to have been when he was younger. Talking about beating the shit out of guys just for talking to his girlfriend. The interviewer asked him if he ever killed anyone, and he hesitated at first but then said no. Of course he wasn't gonna say yes, even if he DID kill anyone. But, him turning his life around, and becoming an actor, is incredible, and inspiring.

@@mosesrocco6614 Bro, it's acting. You making that comment tells you why James was so Amazing, cause he played a heartless Mob Boss who was a stone cold killer, and it was so believable, you really thought he was like that, but in real life he had a heart as big as a Lion. I had the whole Box Set on DVD. Shit cost like $130, but I got my watch on for like 2 months, everyday I would go straight to the beer store, buy me a 12 pack and watch the Sopranos until they were watching me, passed out. LMAO. Great times. The Sopranos got me through my Korea tour in the Army, on the DMZ, when nothing else would.

Big hearted people, have the ability to be the complete opposite, if they need to. I'm one of those people as well. We basically flip the pancake. Regular people call it Bipolar, but it's not really. Really the scientific name for it is Empath. We feel everything with very high sensitivity. It seriously sucks at time because there aren't many times our emottions don't take us for a wild ride. James was the real deal and I think his acting came very natural to him.

Beautiful poem by Dominic Chianese (Corrado Junior Soprano): You can travel down the road, Check on every vine, You can travel down the road, You can travel down the line. But there were few like Jimmy, He was homemade wine. Honest, good, pure, nothing added. Wants you to have a good time, Sharing with friends like family. He was homemade wine. You need a dollar? You got Jim. Loyalty and truthfulness, that was him. Believing in something good out there. Never got in the way, he was always fair. A good brother, a good son, good father. He always tried his best. And all the rest, He was homemade wine.

I actually met him while flying to the Bahamas for my honeymoon with my new wife on New Year’s eve 2009. We we’re getting our bags and there he was standing right in front of me! I screamed out,” Yo, Tony Soprano!!” He looked at me like a wiseguy and said just nodded his head with a steely cold expression. I extended my hand and he shook it, and he turned around and just walked away with his son. i’ll never forget it.

That whole section was so moving. As opinion on the conflict over there sours and we become more and more removed from the reality of it, it becomes easier to lump in the everyday people who had to do the dirty work with the ones who send the innocent to war. They are not the same, and their sacrifice was real and costly, whether or not it was in vain is irrelevant when looking at it on a personal level.

That and him getting out of the car in the intro are forever iconic images that only he could've pulled off. Not knocking your comment. But actors and acting has to be like that. Self defence. It is like nothing else. Imagine another business where you have to kiss someone you don't really know or grab hold of them. Then be told to do it again. Never mind the long hours in their company. You have to fall in love or you'd die.

We sadly recently have now lost Tony Sirico as well. There will never be as an important type of show as The Sopranos. Think about that, and let it sink in. How lucky we all are to have been able to witness the history being made for 6 seasons, every Sunday night during those seasons, we knew that we could pause what we were doing, and watch this groundbreaking historic show give us all something we had never seen before, and sadly never will again. Every couple of years, not as often as I use to, I still will watch the series, and think back to what I was doing back then, and how I would look forward to those new episodes.

I am so touched about how close to him were the actors of Sil and Paulie and Junior in the real life. Listening to "Silvio" near the end of this, speaking with such sadness, in denial of Gandolfini not being alive anymore is so pure and amazing... I am so glad I finally watched TheSopranos. It will be always AT LEAST top 5 Series of all time ever, probably still the no.1, the BEST Series ever made for as long as humanity will last on Earth. Ps: i wasn't speared of crying. Uncle Jun got me in the end.... What a cast Chase had for this.

Same. Saw it offered on Amazon Prime, so binge watched as well. I used to think, it can't possibly be as good as people say...it's probably just over-hyped. Couldn't have been more wrong about that!! Next to Breaking Bad, my favorite drama series of all time.

So cool that his son gets to play his dad's character in the prequel. I hope the new show is successful.

Junior is gonna SMASH NEWARK!!! His mannerisms are EXACTLY like his father...Chase & Co ALREADY KNOW what they have with him...we will get SOPRANO ORIGINS for many years to come!!! LONG LIVE THE MOST LOVABLE BAD GUY OF ALLLL TIME!!!

A new Sopranos today would be awful. Nearly everything to come from the major streaming sites (or Hollywood) is woke propaganda. The nuance in the idea of an anti-hero (who is, among other things, racist) is beyond them at this point.

Sometimes the old adage “Only the Good Die Young” definitely applies to this man. We are fortunate to have the body of work he left for us. Some actors really are special people and Jimmy was one of them. RIP SIR!!!

I remember seeing James Gandolfini on Sesame Street. He talked about being scared, and how it was ok to be scared sometimes, cuz you always got someone looking out for you.
