So glad I grew up in Colorado and was able to see Tommy play. First was with Zephyr, and later when he had his stint with Deep Purple, I think 1976? Never saw him with James Gang. Still relevant today, and that says a lot considering his short life.

@@curtisphilumalee1447 Yep! I’ve heard that men can only do the splits that way like DLR? Makes me wonder cause Roy looks like he could go all the way down in a “forward” straight split position. I did the forward splits, forward roll, cart wheel and a handstand dismount on a balance beam, back in the good old days. 10 years ago my young granddaughter was in tumbling. She wanted me to show her the splits as I told her I was in gymnastics when young. I could still do them and couldn’t believe it and about ripped me a new one! Lmbo! @@BrianKliewer Joe’s the reason I bought ‘73 album “The Smoker You Drink the Player You Get” when it was released, because of the fantastic “Rocky Mountain Way.” “The song features Walsh using a guitar talk box manufactured by sound engineer Bob Heil, inventor of the Heil high-powered talk box. The distinct tone "... gives Walsh's blues stomp a futuristic wave, as if a hulking mechanical beast was looming just over those rocky mountains." Nobody can rock a head bandanna quite like Joe Walsh, either. I Love the song “Meadows” from the same album, it’s sooo pretty.
