Man, Jimmy Fox is just wonderful to watch and listen to. He MAKES this song with his fluid drumming and cymbals. Best drummer Joe ever played with.

OK just how many of us that saw them live 50 years ago would have thought then that they would still be playing today? We used to joke that if this happened it would be a nursing home tour. So glad that this music is still great after all these years. To put it into perspective, back in the 60's we would have been playing songs from the roaring twenty's. Ummm that didn't happen. We didn't even listen to the big band music from 20 years earlier. Yet 50 plus years later it is still being played and enjoyed by countless millions. Yep, the best era of music ever. Still is! The first band I ever saw. This music was brand new at the time. I bought the album shortly after hearing the great show at the Ohio State Fair.

Saw them in the Fall of 1971 at my college (MTSU) in a small gymnasium. Awesome show. They all signed my "Rides Again Album" afterward. It is in a frame on my office wall to this day. Love this band!

Used to see these guys in NE Ohio when they mainly did covers. Jim Fox has always been one of my favorite drummers to watch. I believe before "The Bomber" was put together they did the middle Bolero/Cast Your Fate to the Wind interlude in the middle of Steppenwolf's The Pusher. Another bit of history. The Ravel's Bolero sequence of the middle instrumental section was only in the original pressings of James Gang Rides Again and then later cut out leaving the "Beck's Bolero/Cast Your Fate to the Wind" section in place. I always assumed that there were copyright issues involved.
