@@60bangz Making movies is one of the more stressful jobs out there. The amount of pressure put on you by your peers and producers cannot be undisputed. It’s not just running around with your phone filming stuff, it’s lighting, blocking, managing million dollar equipment, ADR, ect. There are strict schedules, that if not followed, could get your entire project canned. Most directors care more about their movies than anything else (including their lifestyle). They usually can’t enjoy it because of 90 hr work weeks, which usually lead to divorce. Coming home to a million dollars (that you don’t even do your job for), and for some directors a broken home, doesn’t make your job less stressful.

@ZauntoZee20 күн бұрын
OKAY , just because you spend millions on a film budget doesn’t automatically mean it’s good. The costume looks something out of a CW show because it lacks some realism. It’s too cartoonish. The curly top hair looks strange because it doesn’t suit him as “the kid from smallville”. He looks like a hipster.
@zohebrafi16 күн бұрын
Actually I’d argue that Corenswet’s Superman costume is more realistic than Cavill’s. Form fitting superhero suits are hyperstylistic because of which the muscles are exaggerated. Look at Christopher Reeve’s Superman suit for example. It wasn’t form fitting at all, yet was comic accurate. For me, I think the suit is a good design. I’d change a few things tho, the trunks shouldn’t be there if you’re gonna do high-collar, or vice versa. and maybe make the blue slightly darker.
@ZauntoZee16 күн бұрын
@ huh ? The reason cavils suit is realistic is doesn’t shine off with vibrant colors. In doesn’t fit the mood of the movie. If you like retro styled costumes it should be in cartoons because the designs and structures within the world are basic. Christopher reeves Superman was designed that way because it was “ old times” 🤦🏽♂️ Superman red underwear trunks looks out of place. Plus the suit doesn’t fit David at all
@zohebrafi16 күн бұрын
@@ZauntoZee If you’re talking about colors, then yeah I’ll give you that. Cavill’s suit colors were good but were a little too muted in MoS in my opinion, I prefer the suit colors used in BvS. Regarding Christopher Reeve, his design was consistent with the world they lived in and the world they were building. My argument was regarding the fitting of the suit, it’s not as loose as people are making it out to be. It is a fitting suit without it being skintight and muscles being exaggerated.

@@ZauntoZee Depends on what comic book movie we’re talking. Obviously not every nitty gritty detail can and would be adapted anyway as long as they’re translated well. Heroes like Batman, Iron Man, Punisher and Daredevil obviously require more grounded approach to make their stories work. Characters like Thor, Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, however, need to let loose because these superheroes are as over the top as their stories are. Spider-Man and Superman, however need a healthy balance of both.

@Butwhythough88119 күн бұрын
I’m gonna be honest. Man of Steel only made that money because it was riding off the coattails of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy. It not only released a year after the trilogy wrapped up but it was worked on by the same people who also worked on that trilogy like Nolan (as a producer), and David S Goyer. BVS made money because, well c’mon, it’s BATMAN VERSUS FREAKING SUPERMAN. It was one of the most requested movie crossovers of all time and was in development hell for years.
@YEAR-1-RELICS19 күн бұрын
@@Butwhythough881 I don't see what's wrong with that because even after Chris Reeves Superman it was fallowed up by Keaton's batman which shared similarities in the style and seriousee take to superhero franchises. It's really a generation thing and the goal was always to make these characters believable hense the line from donners films " you'll really believe a man can fly ". The point was always to mKe a believable Superman and the point was to make a Superman in tangent to Nolan's verse and they initially consulted Nolan about it but he refused. That being said none of the audience actually connected MOS to Nolan verse and was highly aware that it was a new director taking charge. No one had pre conceived expectations for it to even take the tone of Nolan verse. It just did well because it looked that great bud.
@Butwhythough88118 күн бұрын
@@YEAR-1-RELICS 1. Donner’s Superman and Burton’s Batman are nothing alike. 2. Nolan’s Batman films were massive. Like REALLY MASSIVE. You couldn’t turn on the tv without seeing a news story or someone talking about it. That’s how big it was. Plus given how Superman is the opposite of Batman, it made sense to give Supes the same grounded superhero treatment next. Even if Nolan isn’t directing, he still co-wrote it. He still produced. He’s a relatively large reason for the film getting made. If you try to tell me that Man of Steel would’ve made the money it did had Nolan’s Batman’s films never been made, I’m sorry, but you’re wrong, no matter what audiences thought.
