The trick to the tenor section I learned a long time ago when I first started si going gospel is having the second altos jump in when the tenors get to that high c! But all of these people are squirrels lol! God was moving in this recording!

Yep. I call it stair-climbing. Gives the lower registers a chance to breathe and catch up. Same with 1st and 2nd Sopranos and 1st Altos. Even though you don't find that much of a range breakdown in Gospel music, it's still doable. Just breath from the diaphragm (breathing in and your tummy staying in place) and keep your chin tilted up.
