Everyone knows it’s a regular season award, but the playoffs prove everything and always have. We are going to look back in 10-15 years time when LeBron has retired as arguably the games’ best ever player and say he had the greatest offensive season of his career and they gave the award to someone missed 20 straight three pointers in the playoffs and wasn’t even the best player on his team at times during the postseason. You think I’m wrong? Think about what people say about Charles Barkley and Karl Malone winning the award over Michael Jordan to this day and tell me I’m still wrong. This isn’t to say Harden shouldn’t have an MVP in his trophy case, because he’s been arguably robbed the past 2-3 years, but it’s now time for the NBA to stop giving out sympathy awards and go back to giving them on actual means. It’s become nothing short of an embarrassment.

He played young pacers squad, then the choking raptors, and nearly got beat by Celtics team missing their best two players (both 20 ppg scorers), then got swept against the warriors. So essentially his opponents he beat were Oladipo, Derozan/Lowry, Tatum/Horford/Brown, then Curry/Thompson/Durant/Green (which he obviously didn’t win a damn game against). Harden played KAT/Butler/Wiggins, Mitchell/Gobert, then almost beat Curry/Klay/Durant/Draymond. Let’s also not mention Harden took his team to 1st in the West and LeBron took the Cavs to 4th in the East. Harden performed better in multiple stat categories and made his teammates MUCH better than LeBron did. Crowder, Thomas, Clarkson, Nance, TT, Love, Smith, Korver all had lower stats this season because they had to stand around and wait for LeBron to pass to them. No wonder other stars don’t wanna team up with LeBron anymore, he’s such a ball dominant diva that he refuses to play in a system off ball similar to what he did in Miami (and what do ya know, that Miami team succeeded and won 2 finals in the 4 years)
