gotta love the people having a go at his technique...what difference does it make? the guys an animal.

I love the that there are no machines about this workout. Just some heavy stuff and hard work, brilliant.
@julienpenders13 жыл бұрын
he perfectly knows what he's doing. This isnt about the technique or the heavy weight, these weights are nothing for him. Its all about conditioning. throwing the weights around as mutch as possible, as fast as possible and as long as possible. its a perfect conditioning set for rugby.

Hand Release press up and a power aspect to the move, it also makes it measurable in terms of range of motion.

@EDBROWNFUNCTIONALFIT Mr Brown hello! This was a whole new concept for James a few months ago and you can see from more recent videos how much we have moved on. You also have to remember we are not doing these workouts to be good at crossfit, we are using some of these concepts for conditioning for rugby. If you don't lock you hips out by 1 degree in rugby....does it matter? no. In Crossfit? Yes, because the movements have to be measurable.

Gents, we do work on technique, if you check out Rich's for it is spot on pretty much all the time. This is not a 1:1 S&C video but an example workout, with Rich doing the workout aswell and pushing very hard, so he can't check the other guys form in a session like this. James struggles on power cleans, due to wrist mobility, and that is why he is doing high pulls in this video. If you watch Rich, he is doing a Power Clean. Don't like what you see, no need to watch, but most find them great.

Incorrect, there are a number of ways to use pylometrics, this is a conditioning session where plyo's are used over a long period of time just like they would be in the pitch during match duration. You can't take 1 session in isolation of overall plans.

I think most people are missing the point. This ( I think) is a shock type session. Haskell is simply looking for HR movement with some explosive movements. His technique is crap but so what. Guy in the middle shows perfect form. So watch him it's that's your thing. I was quite impressed with Haskell on the body weight exercises. Knee flick jumps and simply moving his own weight quickly. Good vid.

Teifivalley - he was England's best player in RWC 2011, he's a good player not just a gym junkie... Not an amazing skillet but does what a back row should do, very good work rate for a big powerful guy who uses it well

Man, no rep for any thrusters, boxjumps, or wall balls, fix the arm activation for the deadlift.. He's got some SICK potential, if he would only tighten up those basics.

That dude in the grey crossfit Tshirt looked so much more comfortable lifting those weights. Im quite sure he was shoulder pressing more at the start too. clearly Haskell is just big naturally casue tht dude is like half the size of him and lifting the same if not more much more easily. And for all those Haskell fans yes he wud dwarf me and yes he wud put me to shame but im not comparing him to me im comparing him to the dude he is training wit.

Why are people going on about his technique? Look at the fucking size of him, what ever he's doing he's obviously working hard and doing it right for himself. I guarantee he's a damn sight stronger and fitter than all you people whining at his technique.

At the end of the days guys, his main job is performing on a rugby pitch! Yes his technique is pretty poor here but he's not paid to perfect his lifting techniques and no doubt he knows after watching this its poor, but like he said it's a sunday morning after a hard weeks training, getting up for a session like this on a sunday is hard enough, trust me

Haskell has horrible form on the dead lifts and power clean. Wonder what it's like for heavy weights? Surprised he's so big when his form is so sloppy. Wish I could get away with that shit :/
