Met Dylan Hartley several years ago when Northampton played the army. They had played in a cup final the day before so the first team weren't involved but he brought every member out to visit all of us who were recruiting outside and had time for everyone. Ended up speaking to him for about half an hour about where I play rugby and everytime I try talking about him he's simply deflected it back on to where I played and tried helping me out with some tips

He's always struck me as a very nice guy in interviews etc. Just a shame the red mist seemed to descend so often on the pitch. Wish him all the best in retirement.

Totally agree with Tindall in regards to the medal “controversy”. Nothing wrong with what the players did. Just an understandably raw reaction to just losing what was the biggest game of their lives.

Rugby like all professional “sports” is a business. When one or more of the subsidiary companies (clubs) of the main business conducts itself in a manner detrimental to the survival of the rugby entertainment business as a whole then it must be reined in. This is done by imposing financial penalties. If this results in the loss of the subsidiary then so be it ... the main business must survive. The rest is all blah blah blah.

Maybe should go down to NBA route of cap related directly to tv rights money but teams can go over the cap to retain players if they have a genuine offer from another team.

@@slowhand8301 Honey child if you think your opinion or calling me a little girl offends me, you might be in for a surprise. Here's how conversations / opinions / discourse / comment threads work: you say something then someone else says something in response. Neither of those infers or requires emotional involvement of any kind. You're having a moment about someone being "desperate for fame"...in a comment thread...on a video about a show where being famous is a requirement for participation...on a channel where he is heavily involved. Being hungry for fame or wanting to make the most of any and all opportunities after a career in rugby (which always has a limited lifespan) hardly warrants a belly wobble about his perceived lack of focus on his MMA career or the fact that he is capitalising on his "celebrity" status to get money in the bank. I am sure, if he could monetise public opinions and below the line brain farts, he and every other former player / pundit trying to carve out a living by any means possible given their particular skill set, will happily sit back and watch their bank balances grow, because I am fairly certain you and every other "He's just in it for the fame" detractor will never run out of negative things to say.

Normally agree with Tindall‘s view on stuff but I don’t agree with his defence of the England Teams performance in the final. They deserved and indeed received lots of accolades for a stellar performance in taking New Zealand apart in the semis but I have missed any candid analysis of what was a truly abysmal England performance in the final. I see noone giving an honest and clinical assessment of why this happened. A dishonest curtain of silence has fallen amongst the pundits - possibly to protect the morale of the fans can’t find any other reason - while trying to snow us with a fake explanation that the result was down to an outstanding South Africa performance which is an absolute fairytale. As a massive English fan I don’t understand why England didnt turn up and we need to understand this failure in order to learn from it and stop it happening again.
@tunejuice12355 жыл бұрын

@somanytakennames5 жыл бұрын
@@stephencowper9441 Not sure I agree with that. The first third of the video basically covers what went wrong from England's perspective. I will say that one thing we failed to do in the build up to the World Cup was go through the process of regaining control of a game (we sort of did it with Scotland but ultimately that ended in a draw). This might seem like an obvious thing to say but until the team actually do it, they won't know how to do it. South Africa controlled the game from the first whistle and we didn't know how to get it back. And sometimes, having an off day really is all that can be said. This one blip, albeit on an unfortunately massive game, doesn't make them a bad team.
