Alex Payne, James Haskell, Mike Tindall and a studio audience are joined in Tokyo by the former South African World Cup winning captain John Smit to talk Nelson Mandela, Michael Cheika, Mark Regan, Jaco Peyper, the semi-final lineup and who'd win a fight between Martin Johnson and Bakkies Botha.
Plus, there's a game of 'Would You Rather' and Hask apologises for his role in McDonald's-Gate.

The reverence that Joe affords Mandela is beyond sick. He signed off on the church street massacre that murdered 17 people, mainly black and white civilians, some of whom were pregnant. How on earth can one support a man that admits terrorism?

Spoon well unfortunately my uncle is still in a wheelchair from the explosion and it’s a constant reminder, so to see Mandela idolised in this way is still tough for him.

Tindall is beyond parody. A complete bosh merchant, flat-track bully in his playing games is suddenly transformed into a proponent of all-out attacking rugby in his retirement. Part of a side that won a World Cup playing completely attritional rugby based on a solid defence and taking the points when they are on offer, and berates Wales for playing the same way. Hypocrite much?

Rugby is a fascinating sport. The two most successful teams in history (who've won the most world cups) are the all blacks and the springboks. But their playing styles couldn't be more different. The all blacks play is fluid and beautiful like flowing water. The springboks play is tough, physical and attritional like hard earth and rock. The battle is between them is elemental and epic. Water vs Earth.

@@awaruaspirit8527 Banter aside.. ABs were dangerous in possession until the very end. It was only in the closing 2 or 3 minutes when I was sure the game was won. Unfortunately for NZ today England were very good tactically and were clinical in all areas of the field. Another day might have been different. One thing which can be guaranteed is the next time our two great rugby playing nations meet in a RWC, or any test, the ABs will be keen as ever to set the record straight, and I for one cannot wait to watch. There's always a few fans on either side of the fence who spoil the spirit of our great game with lack of grace. Let's leave them to it and cheers to a great semi-final, all the best to NZ for the third place game I'm sure they will finish their campaign on a high. Rugby is the winner today cheers boys👍🍻

@@faulkner3458 Cheers Faulkner. The ABs are being collectively ripped a new @rsehole at the moment here in NZ. General consensus seems to be it is a very well deserved win for England. The ABs were completely and utterly outfoxed & outplayed by a classy England team last night. And the final 19-7 score actually flatters the ABs. Meanwhile, I have only great things to say about how Japan has hosted this RWC. They really have done a stonking great job as hosts especially after Hagibis. So......enjoy the final which I expect will be against the Boks. With England licking the Boks based on last night. Still...as this RWC has proven, anything can happen! Cheers🍻🍻🍻

Been a fan of James for a long time but his statements on the Haka are uneducated. First he stated that it's funny and that he had to refrain from laughing, then he has a problem with the throat cutting gesture (which they now heavily water down) because its a challenge? How can it be funny yet also be intimidating and challenging? To me it just seems like James is bitter towards the All Blacks. Still a fan of the man nonetheless.

Two totally different talking points. He said he found it funny to watch people he knew do it... whatever, that's his opinion. Smit then said it isn't a challenge, and Haskell disagrees. As far as I know, yes, it is a challenge as well as a homage to Maori culture. Can't believe people can twist what Haskell said into an insult when he never actually insulted it at all.

They are the same talking point as it is the topic of how the Haka is interpreted. They are different points which are contradictory however, hence my original comment. Yes, the Haka is a challenge and everyone who knows at least a tiny bit about the history of the Maori culture should know. But it is clear to see that he has a problem with the challenge due to his reaction which is ridiculous.

He has a problem with people thinking its intimidating, which he says it isn't. Other than that I don't really see what he had a problem with...

No it doesn't. 11.5b applies to the ball carrier, not the ripper.

Tindale will never rate any Celtic country. Epitomises everything we don't like in English rugby; arrogant, one-eyed and privileged. Its not even banter, I like banter, its just arrogant bile.

It seems like he definitely has bias against them. However, the things he says and has said in the past about teams like Wales and Ireland are not far from the truth.

He's not wrong though is he? Is he not allowed to give his honest opinion because he might upset some sensitive Welsh & Irish souls?

I think its because He was on the end of some thumpings from Ireland from 2004 right up to 2011 and two games in croke park with a 43 - 13 in 07. The results over the last 15 years in the six nations have Ireland and Wales as the two dominant teams. I think all that eats away at him. Ireland in 2018 pretty much set him over the edge.

He is right to some extent on how they play and score tries but they way he talks about them and his obvious distaste of anything not-English is obvious and often childish. Just look at the way he pouted and complained after Wales beat England in the six nations, he called the Game 'boring' and huffed and puffed through the whole episode acting like a petulant child.

@@GlenWRU I feel sorry for him tbh one episode were he had a few to many and the final round was to name a 15 for something or other. The guest have names like AWJ POC, BOD, in the team. Tindall had a passing coment on each. It's just an inferiority complex.
