Top song always loved it! I worked as a sound technician in Stockport, Manchester in the 1990s, James came into rehearse prior to the Seven album being released and writing and recording the album, one night Larry Gott (Lead Guitarist) was playing guitar in rehearsal room on his own, went in and asked if he wanted a brew? Yes he replied, made it took it to him and started talking as he was playing parts of this song ‘Heavens’ he knew I played guitar and said will you just play these chords, so I played the chords for the rhythm guitar part as he played around working out his lead guitar parts for this song, a top moment in my life, obviously I’ll never forget and will always be a favourite for me.

I am back in 2021 to say that this band saved my life in so many ways and still does, pretty doesn't begin to describe this song, this song is about waking yourself when the trumpets horn comes, you don't just die, you get back up and try again, this song has so much personal meaning for me and always will, when we give up on ourselves surely the rest will also.

Good analysis my friend and yes this song is beautiful, always been one of my favourites and I can see how it has helped you when we sometimes steep and fall into times of depression or feeling low, a great song to make you realise you have to pick yourself and try again no matter how hard you may think it is. Live the trumpet in this song, the delay on the trumpet totally sets the mood and feel if the song for me.

This song is part of my search for meaning in life and it was very significant at certain point in my life. James is really sincere with us and I appreciate and admire their spiritual searching.

@@craigcullen28 Thanks Craig, I will have to check the latest stuff out - _well_ the past decades. I have a number of friends from 6th-form who go to all the gigs. I've realised I'm guilty of somewhat freezing James in the Gold Mother to Whiplash "era". Which is many band's lifetime in itself.
