So. You think that, just because someone is a decent guitar player they can just play whatever they want without having to figure it out first..? I think you're confusing a decent guitar player with a f**king amazing guitar player. And even then, it can take a minute to find it. Most guitar players, even really good ones, know how to play what they know how to play. Everything else has to be learned. I'm concidered a good guitar player, by most guitar player's standards, and I have no idea what I'm doing. I just know how to do it. But I know much better guitar players than I, who can't do what I do, and openly admit it. The difference is, they csn learn what I do, while its very unlikely that is ever be able to learn some if their more technical stuff. And I can jam with pretty much anybody, while some of the most talented guitar players in the world can't jam. But show them a page of sheet music, and they'll play it like they wrote it, first time, every time. Granted, Nervana's stuff is all pretty easy, but it can still take a minute, if you've never played the piece, (unless it's just a few common cords. For instance, anyone who knows the basic "cowboy cords", can learn "Live"'s first album as they listen to it for the first time).
