Ow woow I love this so much. Im from 1971 so when my parents had a party, this kind of music was played and we all loved it!! And my parents partied a lot!! So glad I got to know Mr James Last and his Orchestra. He left a truly great ensemble and reaches milions with his great work. My 12 year old son loves this one as well, just as he loves Biscaya too. Im proud to be the middleman in passing through our good taste in music.

I travelled from the UK to Zwickau in Germany some years ago to work on one of James's shows just like this. I had an absolutely fantastic time, and was amazed to see so many coaches from the UK filled with people who had come to Germany specifically to see James and his team in Concert. His sad passing was a great loss to the world of live entertainment. He was a true Gentleman of Music. R.I.P James.

Thanks Paul! I travelled to Cologne to see the last James Last concert ever. The live concerts were always great and I still miss them. We always enjoyed every moment. @@superlast It's difficult to remember, because in that time I made a lot of music and have now at least six moving boxes with sheets, some things are even lost after that long time. It's a pity, I don't have the original sheets from the session. They have been collected at the end and I didn't had the opportunity for copies. I even don't know, whether the recordings were published or not. We played some music from the Beach Party recordings, and I can remember the song Daydream Believer., because it is one of my favorites. Perhaps I find some personal notes, but all is so long ago.

Many years ago I attended a summer concert at Ravinia just outside Chicago. Doc Severinson was the guest performer. He played his trumpet and actually conducted the Chicago Symphony. Then Doc surprised us when he said, "The orchestra has a surprise for me. All I have to do is give them the downbeat and I can leave.... so I will." Well, after Doc gave the downbeat, the Chicago Symphony performed Orange Blossom Special..... a world-class symphony orchestra.
