McAvoy is one of my all time favorite actors. I went to see him in a play called The Ruling Class a few years ago in London where he also did that stage door thing. There were easily a hundred people waiting to get a picture or stuff signed and he could not have been nicer. Total gentleman the entire time.

Best movie I've ever seen in my 21 year old life. I could tell it was good watching 27 seconds of trailer, and that never happened to me. The reason why the celebrity editions of The Great British Bake Off is not aired in the US, is that the production felt no one in the US would know many of the celebrities. One or two maybe such as James, but not the rest. In the same way when we see US versions of The Apprentice etc, we have usually no idea of some of your US celebrities.

McAvoy has certainly matured a lot since his early roles in the noughties, as the 'pretty boy' heart-throb in Shameless, Last King of Scotland, Narnia, Becoming Jane, Atonement, Starter for 10 and Penelope. As I was watching this Late Show clip, I was thinking that he's one of the few actors who in their early 40s look absolutely nothing like they did in their mid-late 20s. Of course, the McAvoy charm has always carried through but even as he morphed through X-Men's Professor Xavier in his 30s, he looked very different. Now he's quite the silver fox..er..snow leopard!
