As a Soul music fan, I thank Tony Blackburn for being the only DJ in the 1960's to play Soul music. Through him I used to hear The Delphonics and Stylistics and others.

Fantastic interview Tony Blackburn is the best radio presenter that there has been.... Iv'e listenend to some of his broadcast on You Tube of his pirate days they are just fantastic.... There are a couple of others who are legends from the radio world Keith Skues & Tony Prince all 3 would be joint number 1 if there was a poll of who's the best DJ ever....🙂🙂🙂

'Smashie and Nicey' era of 'pop picking' DJs was cringy, though less cringy than Radio 2 old crocks. Tony is harmless enough I suppose and my granny liked him.
