I am such a fan of Courtney Act and I completely agree that the show absolutely misrepresented her. She has such a diverse range of looks and talent. Her singing and beauty is just mesmerizing.

Yeah when I first heard the queens say she was using her prettiness to get her through I was like that's so untrue. I feel like she was one of the hardest working drag queens this season.

I'm forever a fan of Courtney Act. She got the shittiest edit during Drag Race, but anyone who has met her in person knows that she's the sweetest and very talented person
@Tacoflavoredkiss110 жыл бұрын
I love Courtney's outlook on life so much, she's probably the most insightful queen ever, and it literally angers me that people give her shit for relying on pretty because it's so not true! They only say that because the prettiness is all they allow themselves to see. It's a shame that RPDR tried so hard to make her look like a shallow, self centered, barbie doll who doesn't have regard for other people's feelings. It seems like she's constantly trying to lift people's spirits and make them feel good about themselves by sharing her own wisdom she's gained over the years. She's one of the most open-minded people I've ever come across in my whole life. She's so willing to love and accept everyone she meets, even people who insult her. When people say mean things to her, I've literally seen her say stuff like "I'm sorry you feel that way, it's a shame because I think you're really amazing and talented, I was looking forward to getting to know you better." LIKE WTF?! That's literally the opposite reaction everyone expects from a drag queen. Courtney literally reads people to filth in the opposite way everyone else does. Instead of pointing out their flaws, she points out their greatest attributes. If the world handled negativity the way Courtney does, we would have achieved world peace 300 billion centuries ago. She's kind of like the Gandhi of Drag lol. Maybe I'm over-praising her but she's had such a positive influence in my life, I've grown a lot as a person and gained so much insight on things I didn't even think about before. Courtney doesn't get nearly as much praise as she should with the wisdom and positivity she spreads IMO.

It's true what James said people realize that her natural looks are beautiful and they feel like she uses that as an excuse.
@Iconoclaster9 жыл бұрын
Most of the looks she had went over people's heads and like James said, all they saw was pretty... and red. She may not have been a better performer in regards to some challenges but she pulled it off. The singing during the comedy challenge was definitely a cop out but it seemed like maybe she couldn't think of anything funny besides her dry sarcastic wit and in fear didn't want to dig that hole of making herself look like a bitch. It's obvious she learns and grows as she describes her self discovery through drag, it would have been nice to see her realize that hey, maybe she should've played up the bitch and started off "people here think I'm a bitch" and go off of that. Her haters should really watch this video. I knew what I was getting into with Courtney from seeing her on Willam's videos from before and she actually went up in my book after seeing her on drag race. People can be so blindly insensitive and overprotective about who they stan and she got Roxxxied. And I mean Roxxxy's hate was less deserved over the fact that Coco was far more vile than she. Anyway keep up the awesome act, Courtney Act!

i have to say Miss Courtney Act you simply MUST pursue your dream of having your own talk show because on your KZbin appearances you are relatable, genuine, and so sweet! Not that your weren't on Drag Race, but sometimes we always see the shady or catty sides of the queens (due to editing of course) and YOU, my dear, are fabulous inside and out! So go girl go ;) Also you should consider making over some average girls for makeover episodes on your channel, because some girls could really use your gorgeous fishy expertise! I guess it is difficult for people to have empathy for Courtney because she is so beautiful and confident. I mean, you can be beautiful, but not that confident, or if you're both the least you could do is have a difficult past or childhood, and that's not the case at all. She's just a fully realized person (or so it seems) and people just can't handle their selfishness... I think that's why she wasn't that popular on the show after all.

If playing on pretty is something you get told off for when you're actually making an effort and being talented, the fault is with the judges/viewers. One of the best episodes. A look inspired by one of the first major movies about drag queens to find a significant audience and of course the lovely Courtney. I love how she's used her celebrity to expand people's awareness and understanding of gender fluidity by appearing on Celebrity Big Brother and Strictly. I've seen so many videos of her working with other queens--Willam, Alaska and Bianca to name a few, and that doesn't happen unless you have a good work ethic and are able to collaborate with others to achieve mutual success. I'm sure we haven't seen the last of her, not by a long shot. If they do Drag Race Australia she should most definitely be the host.
