James Webb Telescope Just Detected A Sudden 250% Increase In Betelgeuse's Brightness

Clickbait! That's what the title of this video is! It makes a claim I know to be untrue! A 250% increase in brightness for Betelgeuse? That would make it about twice the brightness of Sirius, the alpha star of Canis Major, which rises in the east about an hour after Betelgeuse. Sirius is normally the brightest star in Earth's night sky, so when both stars are in the sky, it is easy to compare them to each other. Along with Procyon, the alpha star of Canis Minor, Betelgeuse and Sirius form the largest asterism in Earth's night sky; the Winter Triangle. Each star in that asterism is an alpha star (Betelgeuse is also known as Alpha Orionis). So around 12 midnight of a bit earlier in mid November, all three alpha stars will be above the eastern horizon, high enough to see the equilateral triangle they form. If Betelgeuse did increase in brightness by 250%, I would know it, as I observe the constellations these stars are in every clear night they are visible. No such increase has been seen by me, nor has any astronomical report ever recorded such an increase! Clickbait is designed to make viewers click on a video to watch it. Many, upon finding out that the title is a lie, will exit the video, and not watch all of it! Even so, that click makes sure the person that posted the video still gets your click as a viewing! Now I watched this video all the way through to see what was meant by its title. What I found was no mention in the video of a 250% increase in Betelgeuse's brightness! Making such a claim in the title is just going to make people distrust the person that posts videos like this one; and no one will be watching! In the end, this person will have defeated his or her own purpose, to get views for his/her videos! Now I understand that to make money on KZbin, a certain amount of views must be registered; but if you have to resort to clickbait to get views, you are not doing as good a job as you should be doing!
