I'm 51. I was one of the top break dancers on Staten Island in the 80s. Linoleum and Armour All is how we rolled. These guys absolutely put me to shame I must admit. Their moves are extraordinary and works of a professional gymnast. Planet Rock was the #1 break dance jam hands down. Wish I could re-live those days again with my childhood and teenage friends. Kids now will never experience the connections we all had with each other. Glad I lived to experience those times.
@tukalors75774 жыл бұрын
No bro they dont put you to shame because if it was not for you they would not be doing what they do. There moves come from you and the other brothers out of New York. You are the originator you did not use gymnastics or anything else it was raw talent and creativity!! You all took something from nothing and look where it is now!!

I love listening to old school music like this. Theses D.J.'s know how to put great music together back in the 80's. I rather listen to this music instead of other music.

I'm 59 and I grew up not far from where rap music originated, the foreparent of hip hop. Long before it was on radio it was creatively done at Block Parties with DJs competing with each other. I was astounded and almost in tears (okay, maybe I was) when I heard the first rap song on the radio as I was in college. I said, "Wow! The music from my hood Made it!" Everyone loved it and it took off from there! Thanks Youth all over the globe for carrying it on with song and dance!

You brought me back to my youth! I'm 48 years old and man I feel like breakdancing again and other dances in between. But you didn't have to end it with art of noise! This is what we need in music today bring back the classics and show these young people this is What and where hip-hop come from. Educate the culture and they will follow!

Sheer brilliance - I guess that every generation thinks that they had the best moves; personally I've lived through 50 years of Northern Soul and everything that goes with it (good and bad!) and trust me, we could rip up any dancefloor - but I have to say that this genre bred the best ever dancers, you just gotta look at them - incomparable!!! Our sounds were and remain far better though guys!!! Thanks for sharing, brilliant clip !

51 years old in 2021 and this takes me back to 1986. 16 with my own car going to clubs and dancing to these songs being mixed on the fly a an actual DJ. Hanging with friends both make and female just loving the songs and moments we had. Still in 2021 I jam these songs out and younger coworkers wonder when the songs came out because they sound great

The music, just captures the soul of that generation. The dance is nothing more them a compliment of an era.. I was an immigrant kid, so i couldn't fully unders stand what i was hearing, but what i was able to unders stand, to me it may me feel i wasn't the only one with those obstacles in my life. Some M/F i didn't even know, and older then me where goi going to the same struggle
