Damn that's subtlety! This group redefines the term groove.

You guys are brilliant. So inspirational to young contemporary jazz composers like us! When are you all coming to Denver?

You can start by listening to all the members' solo albums. Joshua Redman has a ton. Aaron parks has a couple the first of which is amazing the second being just piano is still beautiful but not my cup of tea.

Cameron Lopez Yup. In addition to these guys, check out albums with Kurt Rosenwinkel, Ben Allison, Brad Meldhau, The Bad Plus. Kurt does alot of more traditional swingy jazz but Star of Jupiter, Heartcore and Seeing People (Roman OTT Inner Shape Album) are all more in this groovey vein. Ben does mostly stuff like this so pretty much any of his albums might interest you (Little Things, Think Free and Riding Nuclear Tiger are my favs.) Brad's album Largo and his new project Melhiana are probably the most groove-oriented of his work. Also, Redman's Elastic Band albums are super-groove/funky.

Badbadnotgood have a vibe a bit like this. Their solo stuff though, avoid the collabs they did on their latest album.

In all of these videos, I can't help but be confused about deciphering if Aaron Parks is playing piano or Sam Rockwell.
