This is one show in a long while that would have merited a big trip back to NYC to catch. I guess I'm not the only one fixating on so-called "Outsider Art" these days. Plus that dreamy, nostalgic and very rich serving of graffiti art. A tiny nit is just - why put those couches almost blocking the lower-hanging artwork? Agree w. the topic of Peter Saul's two distinct phases. I revel in his earlier work, and not so much the later stuff. His switch is very close to what Neo Rauch did as well - going from more flat graphic to more 3D, more textured, more, just - rendered. Just a matter of taste I reckon'. Thanks to KAWS for gifting us all with this wonderfully curated collection. And thanks James and Kate, as ever.
