After nearly a decade of drafting, animating, and refining, the hard work paid off spectacularly. I have seen the progress of this project from the very beginning-as well as the development from other animation companies. We truly are living in the renaissance of indie studios.

It’s kind of funny, many of the people that are creating such creative indie animation projects, like this, The Digital Circus, Helluva Boss, Hazbin Hotel, Long Gone Gulch, etc, may have grown up watching the shows and films of the Disney renaissance era. And may have been inspired to create stories of that time.

This first episode showcases THE reason so many people crave traditional hand-drawn animation. It has the ability to simulate physical motion and convey human emotions in a way no other format can, and it gives artists the freedom to showcase their creativity and skills with absolutely no limits other than their own imaginations. This is not to say 3D animated works cannot also achieve such heights (Arcane, for example), but that format should complement traditional animated works, not replace them. The beauty of the animation in this video is a shining testament to mankind's creativity and artistry, and I eagerly await the release of future episodes. Bravo!

If you showed me this out of context and told me it was a clip from a lost Disney Renaissance movie, I'd probably believe you. It also gives off big Iron Giant vibes. OMG How has noone commented on this yet? Okay, the animation was excellent! Not just during the race scene (beautifully done BTW) but the character animation as well. It was just oozing with personality. The character designs were very Disneyesque (Not a bad place to start from) I can't say too much on the characters, since we didn't get a lot of dialog with our main character (we didn't even get a name yet) but she had a definite personality as a bit of an adventurous dreamer. Overall a wonderful introduction and I'm especially looking forward to the next 'episode'. I'm hoping that it's a little longer than this one thou.
