I'm trying to use my iphone as a simulator on my Windows device but it doesn't work. To make this work you have to be registered as an Apple developer. This is really annoying cause it cost 99 bugs a year 😥Does anybody knows a different way to connect apple device on Windows for debugging?

I feel dumb but why cant i get the shell to load on the android window in debug. Do i have to add something to the shell before i run it or what issue am i running into. The first 15 minutes, do you only explain everything or do you edit anything? because i didnt notice you really edit anything that would make a difference between seeing the shell or not.

Hi. Great tutorials. I have question about Hot restart on iPhone. I try this, everything works fine, app deploy to iPhone succesfull, but after i start app (app not lounched automatically) on iPhone only splash screen apearing on a second and after this app close and nothing happened. I use iPhone SE (2020) with iOS 14.4...Maybe i must enable some developer mode on iPhone or something else? Thanks

Make sure you are on the latest version of VS 2019. There are new images that get deployed as well.

James awesome video! I’m looking to get into xamarin over wpf, and I was curious, you think it’s okay to make xamarin the main driver for my desktop app development? Will I be able to add a wpf project to my xamarin to get the “single exe compile”? Or should I keep these things separate?

The WPF implementation of Xamarin.Forms is community built. I am not sure if it is .NET Core or .NET Framework (I would hope .NET Core). But it would be just a normal WPF app using Xamarin.Forms for the UI. However if you are just building a WPF app and not building an iOS/Android app I would just use normal WPF UI. You can always change later.

.NET MAUI will launch GA in Q2 of this year. There is a lot of overlap as far as the features and knowledge. Differences in productivity features and project structure.
