thanks for the video, whats the part number on ebay for the type you put in, this would have been so much easier if you took off the plastic cover, which is just a long flat nose screw driver, and release clip on the front side of the wing mirror if you push towards the body.

If you"re asking if the Non heated mirror will fit, it looks that way to me. Will the heating function work... no. there are two connections on the heated vs. the normal mirror. Heated is nice to have but tends to start degrading clarity pretty quick and then your back to a yellow-ish looking tint when looking through the mirror.

What causes the mirror to start heating up.

Can't say for sure because I haven't tested myself but Ive read that. 1) when you turn on the inside demister (Window defogger) this activates the heating element in the mirrors. 2) outside temp sensor reading hits a specific degree . I've also read a few forums that state that the mirror itself has a built-in thermistor.. It's all smoke and mirrors at this point..
