Holes in the bucket so the dirt doesn’t vacuum pack so you don’t have dirt stuck in the bucket especially wet material good luck

The holes in the bucket's are for if you are working in a wet clay area so it can come out easier and get yourself a Rock beaker because if you come across Rockey areas you will need one

They are all we use here in Ireland that size and smaller the little 0.8T are grate for us here because you can fit them down the side of a house and here in the city you only have about 4 foot to get down between the home's to the back yard and some places don't have a side entrance and we drive them tru the house because only way if you are digging out for an extension or add on to a house.

The holes in the back of the buckets. Is for when you level your bucket it doesn’t blow dirt from the compressed air. I’m a big excavator, rocks and dirt will fly back at the cab when leveling bucket.

Most important on such a small machine with that big bucket. Have your blade down in the direction that your dumping the bucket of dirt. That big bucket will tip you if you are dumping over the side tracks.

When tracks are in its tippy, tracks out I’m able to boom all the way out and it not move . That’s also with a full load, I’ll give it a shot with wet heavy clay stuff.

Could you tell me the part number for the thumb? I have a 301.7. But I only dig house foundations with a 12” bucket. So if it’s wider than that I might have to look for something that’s aftermarket.

That "wrench" is for turning the hydraulics to the thumb on/off, so you can use the hydraulics for a tilt bucket, hammer or something else (you probably figured that out already but just in case). I couldn't find anywhere that said if I have the "long stick" or not but I measured from the bucket pin (coupler pin in this case) to the boom-to-stick pin and got just over 45" which jives with the specs, so I assume it is the long stick, and yours appears to be the same. I've had my machine a year now and still haven't tried retracting my tracks narrower.....🤣😂 Enjoy it and have a good one!!
