Use arrows/electric on spiders. Gun/lazer/wasp towers on flying. Cannons on golems and acorn monsters.

A few things to those curious about the gameplay: you unlock more levels by earning rainbow pieces, which you earn by not losing any chibis in 3 difficulties per stage. The boys needed more archer towers to handle the spiders, they just run passed the cannons to get killed. A big mechanic they missed; you can upgrade your towers by dancing under them. If they upgraded their towers more it would’ve been much easier and they could’ve used their gems on advanced towers like the Tesla tower and beehive tower. Fun game, I like it a lot. 😃

You can also stand/dance (that is one of the best things while in coop) on top of the tovers to upgrade instead of using gems. In a way you can make money that way. Also arrows are the better against spiders (they are faster) Atleast that was like that in ps3 version.

I miss the great days of TDs and mauls/maulwars on Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. As far as I know, that's where they originated, and I don't think I've seen any independent ones that stand up to some of the great ones that came out in Warcraft.

Aegis Defender is both a platformer and a tower defense game. Excellent for coop play.

If you guys want to play another good co-op game meant for co-op you should play Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime. I played it with a friend last week and it was kind of game where you have to do things with one or two players but very easy with two or more.

A great 2 player game is ballerborg on ps1 it OK on 1 player good story but it's more fun on 2 player. Build your tower and add weapons and take turns trying to destroy your opponents tower, really worth a look.

PJM 2 is a lot worse then PJM 1, the new art style looks less polished and pretty busy. I liked both people being on the same screen and less ambiguity of depth. The towers and stages also felt better in that one. Same with the world map. It's unfortunate but I hope they make a 3 that returns to the old art style and builds on those mechanics.
