Been wondering what is the difference between the morning star and flanged mace. I’ll make either based on what resources I have on hand. Seems the speed and durability of the flanged mace is the main advantage, thanks for pointing that out. I’m lvl 160, wish I’d known that a while back LOL

Flanged mace is faster and does a bit more damage but costs a lot more copper and wire, morning star costs a bit of wood, less copper, and nails.

@@jamesorlong morning stars get really expensive cuz making one bronze ingot it takes 5 planks you need alot of wood to get that much nails flanged mace on top

@@ChewingGuy Usually you make Morning stars by getting nails from knights and templars in the wild, just keep the bronze for the bastard sword

great very usefull , i aggre for the ranking effesiency cafted , but if u level bettwen 23-34 one hounded sword wroth it for kill damned without taking damage

Cart thills are pretty useful for kiting the weaker enemies in dungeons. I gever go without multiple of those

If you're just going to 1 skull zones, club should be okay but cart thill is a lot better, has more durability which makes the extra wood worth it and sneak attacks could kill leapers and wolves in 1 hit if you level up the combat skill for it.

My main choices are: • Club • Cart Thill • One Handed Sword Mostly due to cost and easier to make. Pretty much don’t make anything else except for MAYBE a Bastard Sword but the cost is a pain for it eats up Planks (smelting) just to craft the ingots.

You can just use 20 pine logs instead of burning planks. Do like 1 or 2 more wood runs. Even though it's slightly less efficient to burn logs, it's much better to use planks for crafting and upgrading floors and walls.

I don't like the bastard sword. It's too slow. But I guess it's one of the few easily available craftable high dps weapons... it's better than nothing.

This is terrible, I usually agree with you and seek out your videos when I'm having trouble but I really cant believe you put falcion and kreigmeister in "trash" category, especially since IMO they are the best craftable items in the game! I get the kreigmeister being too expensive (it is a bit pricey) but the falcion is not that much, you said yourself that you dont really use bronze that much anyway to argue that the bastard sword is good. The bastard sword is garbage btw, kreigmeister is 10X better. You can't even compare them. Also the durability of the falcion makes it much more effective and cost efficient than a bastard sword. You can do almost 2X the total damage. The cart thill is garbage too, yeah it's cheap but it's only good for lepers, and even then they can still get a hit or two off. It's just too slowwww since they nerfed it. Same as bastard sword, too slowwww. For example, if I sneak attack a DK with bastard sword he will still be able to get 3-4 hits off, with a kreigmeister he will get 1 or 2. That makes a big difference in the long run. That adds up quickly. It costs a lot more armor and food to use bastard sword vs kreigmeister. Please debate this with me, I want to know why you think so poorly about these 2 great weapons, they are my go-to weapons of choice for the northern lands....

You're absolutely right about the Falchion being a good DPS weapon with good damage over life-time and same with the Kreigmeister being the current best craftable weapon in the game, however, one of my biggest complaints about the Falchion is that it simply can't kite any big enemies because of their weapon range, it's only good use is for the 4+5 skull zones for killing barbarians and bandits, but a high skill level spiked mace works almost just as well and costs 0 bronze. As for the Kreigmeister, if you're good at farming, you'd probably still never craft it because it's still better to just farm top tier weapons than farming all the iron it takes to craft one unless you have collected so much iron and finished the alchemy bench and made so much gold that you have traded for all of the top tier skill books, but I doubt many players are at that level. This guide is mainly for new players (seasoned players don't really need a guide). As I mentioned in the video, those two weapons are great IF you pick them up, but they aren't really worth crafting, in my opinion. The Bastard sword, if used by any half-decent player, can make you take barely any damage if you kite big enemies around obstacles, there are many times I take only 1 or 2 hits from big enemies while using a bastard sword and obstacles to help me stutter step and kite them. The cart thill is slow, yes, but speed doesn't matter if you're always 1-hitting all of the leapers and wolves while sneaking. The level 1 skill is relatively easy to get, but if people don't have it, then you're right to call it garbage, I said if the person didn't have the skill it is ranked much lower on the list (probably trash or low tier w/o the CM skill lvl 1) and it's only good to sneak attack damned if they don't have a 1-h sword or better yet. Looking back on it, I probably should've put the Falchion on the low or mid-tier. Also, I think you're slightly confused about my ranking, I am not ranking the weapons as, "the best weapons you can possibly craft" I'm ranking them as, "the best weapons you should use your resources to craft". I hope my answer was satisfactory and cleared the confusion of why I ranked them so poorly.

I am happy with your response and reasoning, also I am a few parts short on crafting the alchemist table so I really didn't take that into consideration for myself personally, but it makes sense that you would prefer to stockpile iron to turn into gold. I guess it's a preference which will vary from player to player and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Once again, thank you for clearing that up for me, IMO those weapons will never be "trash" though lol 😁😁😁

I don't think they are trash weapons per-say, I just think that all the other weapons are more worthy to be crafted given similar materials and "job" like all 50+ dmg weapons are generally used to kill damned knights and stronger, while 30-42 dmg weapons are used to killed damned, dire wolves, and most mobs in 4/5 skull zones, and 17-25 damage weapons are for easily killing lepers and wolves. Then I ask myself can I do the same thing with these two weapons but use a less expensive material? Bastards sword vs Kreigmiester, I can perform nearly the same job of killing big guys with the more common resource of bronze compared to iron. Cart thill performs the same job as a dagger/spade but only uses wood and cloth (making it craftable in the wild) not needing refined items like copper ingots, nails, leather, etc.

The Kriegsmesser is personally my go-to weapon for sharpening, since I don't mind grinding for materials rather than relying on RNG for Claymore drops, but I kinda agree that it's way too expensive as the game currently is. Heck, the craft formula itself makes no sense. Yes, copper shards are common, but why not an equivalent amount in ingots? The game literally tells to keep shards for crafting, and you can't use ingots made of the exact same material. If ever we get a method to restore durability (HOPEFULLY), the Kriegsmesser will shine since it's craftable and with enough farming, more readily available than claymores, and thus more practical to risk on the grindstone.

Kriegsmesser is not 10x better than BS. It only does three more damage than a bastard sword. And the cart thill is great against the dammed.

The club is actual good for 1 skulled zones, it only needs 5 five piece of wood and u can craft it at any time. I'm at lvl 70 and have been using clubs to clear 1 skulled zones without using any of my saved resources, I just use the berries that are there. In my personal opinion the cart thill is usefull but it's very awkward to use, especially if ur being chased by a damned, wolf or bear, its only good for sneak attacks and the durability sucks. U cannot even easily craft it in the zone because it needs cloth and cloth is very valuable and shouldn't be wasted like that. A club is better any day Oh and the one handed sword is actual decent, it's fast and gives good damage, the only problem is its durability. Plus it is cheaper than a flanged mace which requires 10 wires and that is considered expensive since whenever u find wires u'll hardly get more that 3 or 4 in a chest. Oh and never make weapons that require nails like the spiked mace and morning star, u don't get a lot of nails from chests and they're expensive to make, u should be saving them up If ur ftp like me u'll understand but if u ise money these things wouldn't concern u

I'm ftp and nails become cheaper as you learn to farm more quickly and get to 3+ skull zones regularly. Cloth is valuable but you'll save more cloth in armor at low levels by quickly killing enemies with sneak attacking with a stronger weapon like a cart thill instead if a club because you'll get hit less. At 2+ skull locations, cloth is decently easy to get, and you'll likely get more than 10. It really just depends what stage of the game you're at.
