I lost my dad 13 years ago. I still miss playing golf with him, especially our home course where I grew up. I get choked up every time I play there. I don't think that feeling ever goes away. Here's to our dads. Cheers

Merry Christmas James!!!! Your videos are part of my daily routine, and I look forward to them every day. But I must tell you that this one has made me stop and think a bit. My stepdad introduced me to the game of golf when I turned 16 years old. He bought me my first set off clubs and took me to play 18 holes the day of my birthday. He has always had a passion for the game and has even worked at his local curse for over 40 years. I unfortunately did not live with him, but I always admired him for taking the time to share his passion for the game with me. He has been battling cancer for some time, and things are uncertain right now, but after watching your video I am certain that I am going to honor him by getting back into the game and sharing in the passion for it that he showed me. I feel that this will be the best way for me to honor him. Unfortunately, I still have the same clubs that he bought me from 1988, and I plan on keeping them because they were the first gift I had ever received from him. I have sons of my own, 5 in fact, and I would like to teach them to play golf so that we can play together. Can you suggest to me clubs to look at purchasing on a budget, since I have to also buy 5 sets for my boys as well. I have wanted to do this for some time, and I think now is the time to get started back playing. Many wishes to you and your family, God Bless you sir. And thanks again for sharing this video and opening my eyes to what I have been missing in my life. I would have never thought that a golf video made in the UK would impact my life so profoundly all the way over here in the US state of Tennessee. You have just changed my life for the better.

I am crying. I love this tradition. And thank you for sharing with all of us. I was really touched by the stories about his hole in one, the drink and then remembering that you never asked him what club he used. That got me good and the flood gates opened. It's an incredibly personal video, well shot and edited.

I've played golf with my father all my life and other friend too of course but the rounds with my dad are the most and best rounds of my life. He is 84 now and has dementia so he just rides with me in the cart and he is the best company on the course. He still pulls the flag for me and helps me find lost balls. I can't imagine him not being there. I know I'll have to face it sometime. That first time without him will be horrible but I know he would want me to go anyway. Nothing but fairways in heaven.

Merry Christmas James. I lost my grandfather years ago. He was the one man that I looked up to and he was a great example. I used to caddy for him before I was old enough to actually play golf. He was one of those people that if you asked him a question about something, you knew you were getting solid information. I usually take his set of clubs out once a year. Early Wilson Dynapower II forged blades and persimmon woods. I may be close to losing my dad because he has late stage Alzheimer’s. We never really got along all that well, but now all of that is gone. He lives with us and is entirely reliant on my wife and I. Funny how life works. Best wishes!
